Good afternoon, Oglala Lakota County School District Staff, Students, and Families. This is Connie Kaltenbach, Superintendent. As we look at the bus temperatures for students tomorrow afternoon, we are still experiencing this daily heat wave. To beat the heat, we are going to release the students at 1:00 PM and will start the bus deliveries right away so we can get the students safely home before the high heat. Staff will have a regular day. Bus drivers and bus monitors will not be required to return after their delivery. The school will post their practice plan on their Facebook page.
Again, there is an early dismissal for all Oglala Lakota County Schools for tomorrow, Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 1:00 PM due to hot bus temperatures for students. This includes: Batesland, Red Shirt, Rockyford, Wolf Creek, Lakota Tech High School, and the Virtual High School.
