SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION
Our board member, Chuck Conroy, is retiring from the board. We wish him the best retirement and thank him for his 34 years of board service to our school district. We have two candidates to fill the Three-Year Term on the board: Saunie K. Wilson and Todd O’Bryan.
The School District election will be held on Tuesday, June 6th, 2023, in all Oglala Lakota County School District voting precincts. The election polls will be open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM mountain daylight savings time.
The precincts and locations are:
Batesland Precinct: Batesland School in the Bill C Bear Meeting Room
Cuny Table Precinct: Red Shirt School
Rockyford Precinct: Rockyford School
Kyle Precinct: Little Wound School Auditorium
Porcupine Precinct: Christ the King Catholic Parish Hall
Manderson Precinct: St. Agnes Catholic Parish Hall
Oglala Precinct: Brother Denny Hall, Our Lady of Sioux Catholic Church
Pine Ridge Precinct: Sacred Heart Catholic Church Parish Hall
This is not a state election; please be aware that votes must vote in the precinct in which they are registered to vote. If you have questions regarding where you are registered to vote, you may call the Fall River County Auditor’s Office at 605-745-5130 or Oglala Lakota County Administrative Office at 605-288-1921.
The option of absentee voting will be available in the business office at the administrative office building in Batesland before June 6th, between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. You must be a registered voter to cast your vote.
